Regensburg, May 20, 2026 – OpusDNS GmbH today announced the acquisition of the domain monetization platform fruits.co. With this move, OpusDNS sends a clear signal: The future of the domain market lies in open, innovative platforms and not in closed, technologically outdated systems.

Since its launch in October last year, OpusDNS has established itself as one of the most dynamic new registrars in the market with over 350 partners, offering a powerful domain registrar and management infrastructure. With fruits.co, a leading monetization solution is now being added, consistently focused on performance, revenue optimization, and continuous development. Together, OpusDNS and fruits.co represent a portfolio of several million domains.

"We are building OpusDNS as an open platform, not as a closed system," says Hakan Ali, founder of OpusDNS. "Our ambition is to continuously develop new features that offer our partners additional value – both technically and economically."

The decision to acquire fruits.co was made with clear intent and careful consideration:

"We evaluated a number of  domain marketplaces that are currently available for acquisition, however none aligned with our strategic vision. Many of the existing systems are technologically outdated and lack a sustainable foundation for innovation," says Hakan Ali. "fruits.co, on the other hand, clearly turned out to be the strongest monetization platform in terms of speed, technology, and market position. Equally compelling was the team behind it, combining deep expertise with the same entrepreneurial mindset that defines OpusDNS. For us fruits.co was the unequivocal choice."

At its core, the acquisition lays the foundation for a next-generation domain platform: an open, scalable infrastructure that seamlessly integrates domain management, sales, and monetization, while continuously evolving. Both platforms will remain operational and continue to be managed independently, benefiting from shared expertise, a focused product strategy, and enhanced innovation capabilities.

With the OpusDNS AI Concierge, an API-first architecture, and a modern, intuitive dashboard, a platform has been created that deliberately stands apart from conventional solutions. Domain management is transformed from an operational effort into a clear controllable, value-creating process – complemented by the integration of fruits.co as a powerful sales and monetization platform.

For partners, this means a new quality of cooperation: less complexity, more speed and, above all, new opportunities to actively increase the value of their domains.

"We do not see ourselves as a traditional competitor,” adds Robbie Birkner, founder of OpusDNS. "Rather, our ambition is to complement and extend existing ecosystems, equipping our partners with the tools they need to unlock greater value.”

From a technological perspective, the focus remains firmly on continuous advancement: "The combination of our infrastructure and fruits.co enables us to accelerate product development and bring new capabilities to market more efficiently,” says Marco Hoffmann, COO of OpusDNS. "We are not building a static platform, but a dynamic system designed  to continuously evolve."

A defining element of this transaction is the continuity of the fruits.co team, which will remain fully engaged and contribute its expertise directly to the joint development of the platform.

"fruits.co was built to make domain sales more modern, efficient, and successful," says Fabian Heuschele, founder of fruits.co. "With OpusDNS, we have found our partner of choice. Together, we are building a global domain platform that redefines the market through innovation and a clear product vision."

With the acquisition, OpusDNS clearly positions itself as a driver of a new generation of domain platforms that is open, innovative, and consistently focused on the success of its partners.
