Senior Backend Developer Registrar Service
Role Responsibilities
- Development and optimization of our backend systems for managing domain registrations, DNS services and other domain functions.
- Implementation and maintenance of APIs and integration of external APIs (e.g. Registry systems based on EPP).
- Ensuring the scalability, reliability and security of our systems.
- Working with the front-end team to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Participating in architecture decisions and improving the existing code base.
- Analyzing problems and implementing solutions to ensure high system availability.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent education in Computer and Information Science.
- Several years of experience in backend development, preferably within a domain registrar environment.
- Sound knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, PHP or Elixir.
- Familiarity with tools like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka, and their effective use.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL solutions.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiar with common development tools and methods (Git, CI/CD, test-driven development).
- Experience in network protocols (DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS) is an advantage.
- Independent, structured work style with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
