Senior Backend Developer Registrar Service (f/m/d)
Role Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance and optimize our backend systems for managing domain registrations, DNS services and additional domain-related functionalities.
- Design, implement and maintain APIs, including the integration of external APIs (e.g. EPP-based Registry systems).
- Ensure the scalability, reliability and security of our systems in a high-availability environment.
- Collaborate closely with the front-end team to deliver a consistent, high-performing user experience.
- Actively contribute to architectural decisions and the continuous improvement of the existing code base.
- Analyze complex technical challenges and implement sustainable solutions to ensure high system availability.
Your Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in backend development, preferably within a domain registrar or comparable infrastructure environment.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, PHP or Elixir.
- Familiarity with tools like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka, and their effective use.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL solutions.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Confident use of common development tools and methodologies (e.g. Git, CI/CD, test-driven development).
- Knowledge of network and web protocols (DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS) is an advantage.
- Independent, structured working style with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
