Junior Backend Developer (f/m/d)
Role Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and optimize our backend systems for managing domain registrations, DNS services and additional domain-related functionalities.
- Implement, maintain and further develop APIs, including the integration of external interfaces (e.g. registry systems based on EPP).
- Contribute to ensuring the scalability, reliability and security of our systems.
- Collaborate closely with the front-end team to deliver a consistent, high-quality and user-friendly experience.
- Participate in architectural decisions and support the continuous improvement of the existing code base.
- Analyze technical issues and implement robust solutions to ensure high system availability.
Your Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a comparable qualification.
- Initial experience in backend development; experience in a domain registrar or infrastructure-related environment is an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of at least one backend programming language (e.g. Python, Go, Java, PHP or Elixir).
- Familiarity with tools like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka, and their effective use.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL solutions.
- Familiarity with common development tools and methodologies (e.g. Git, CI/CD, test-driven development).
- Basic knowledge of network and web protocols (e.g. DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS) is an advantage.
- Structured and reliable working style with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
