ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development and optimization of our backend systems for managing domain registrations, DNS services and other domain functions.
- Implementation and maintenance of APIs and integration of external APIs (e.g. Registry systems based on EPP).
- Ensuring the scalability, reliability and security of our systems.
- Working with the front-end team to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Participating in architecture decisions and improving the existing code base.
- Analyzing problems and implementing solutions to ensure high system availability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or equivalent education in Computer and Information Science.
- Several years of experience in backend development, preferably within a domain registrar environment.
- Sound knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, PHP or Elixir.
- Familiarity with tools like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka, and their effective use.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL solutions.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiar with common development tools and methods (Git, CI/CD, test-driven development).
- Experience in network protocols (DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS) is an advantage.
- Independent, structured work style with excellent problem-solving skills.

- Support for all questions relating to domain registration, domain administration and other offered services.
- Independent processing and resolution of customer inquiries and problems, including technical issues.

- Maintain and update customer information in our CRM system.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
- Create timelines of goals to be met (in line with quarterly OKRs).
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule and budget.
- Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
- Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks.
- Work closely with COO and Engineering lead to assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the project work plan.
As OpusDNS is a start-up you will also be responsible for additional tasks such as:
- Develop and review business requirements to the benefit of the resellers of OpusDNS.
- Evaluate existing business processes to formulate new business programs and initiatives in coordination with COO and Lead Engineer.
- Coordinate with other team members at OpusDNS to create and improve workflows taking into consideration our global distributed team.
- Lead process reviews and improvement initiatives.
- Complete the end to end build of a migration team incl. processes utilizing AI to streamline our domain migrations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, information technology or a similar qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in technical project or product management, ideally in the field of domain registration, web hosting or related technologies.
- Good understanding of domain and DNS technologies, including DNSSEC, WHOIS, domain registration, SSL certificates and hosting solutions.
- Solid experience in the use of tools such as Jira, Confluence, or comparable project management and product planning tools.
- Strong communication skills and team orientation to promote smooth cooperation between engineering and product development.
- Experience with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and agile working methods in a dynamic environment.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Project management for the digital activities of OpusDNS
- Management of OpusDNS websites, improving performance in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead marketing related translations English – German, German – English
- Optimization of digital marketing measures (e.g. SEO, SEA) including content creation, supported by colleagues from marketing and graphics
- Creation and reporting of newsletter and email marketing campaigns
- Collaborate on strategy, lead implementation and maintenance of our social media presence
- Tracking and analysis of all digital activities, providing a monthly website and digital health report
- As part of the marketing team, you will partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Sales, Customer Service) to align marketing initiatives with company objectives and provide cohesive customer experiences.
- Collaborating with team members to create, optimize, and maintain SEO-friendly content across all channels, including blogs, social media, automations, email campaigns, and paid advertising
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-5 years of professional experience in the areas of social media, SEO, SEA, website and analytics tools with proven successful campaigns/projects.
- Experience in website content management and CMS.
- Excellent fluency, both written and spoken, of German and English
- Strong communication skills, team player with cultural awareness and insights into European markets.
- General graphic design or video skills for online content, experience with Canva or similar is an asset.

- Sound knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure as well as container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Puppet.
- Deep understanding of networks, security and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to act confidently under pressure.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain relationships with national and international domain registries.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with registries, including monitoring compliance requirements.
- Development and implementation of strategies to expand our domain portfolio.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities in the domain registration sector.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Legal, Marketing, Engineering and Development to ensure that all registry-related processes are efficient and compliant.
- Participation in international conferences and networking events to strengthen the company’s position in the global domain market.
- Regular reporting to management on developments in the area of registry relations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Training and/or a degree in economics, computer science, law or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in domain management, preferably in a similar position.
- Sound knowledge of the domain industry and regulatory requirements.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, coupled with intercultural competence.
- High level of initiative, independent working style and strong analytical skills.
- Business fluent in written and spoken German and English, other languages are an advantage.
- Ready to travel for occasional international business trips.

- Competent and friendly support for our national and international customers provided by telephone, e-mail and chat.
- Support for all questions relating to domain registration, domain administration and other offered services.
- Independent processing and resolution of customer inquiries and problems, including technical issues.
- Work closely with internal departments such as engineering, sales, accounting and development to resolve complex customer queries efficiently.
- Provide advice on our products and services in order to find the best solutions for our customers.
- Maintain and update customer information in our CRM system.
- Collaborate in the continuous optimization of our service processes to increase customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed training in the commercial sector, IT or a comparable qualification.
- Customer focus is your top priority – you help with commitment and empathy to ensure the satisfaction of our customers.
- First professional experience in customer service, ideally in the IT or domain industry.
- Enjoy interacting with customers and have a strong sense of service.
- Technical understanding and interest in the domain industry.
- Excellent communication skills and a confident manner of expression in German and English. Additional languages are an advantage.
- Reliable: proven ability to work in a team and a structured way of working.
- Experience in working with CRM systems and common Office applications.
